Please be aware of a construction project that may impact your arrival into town. Starting Monday, May 6th there will be full closures of Route 209 north and south between Oak Drive (near The Bagel Bunch At Jim Thorpe) and Race Street weekdays (Mondays through Fridays) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. These closures are anticipated to occur every week through the end of the project in May 2020.
Expect delays and detours if coming into town from Lehighton and PA Turnpike Exit #74. If traveling PA Turnpike Route 476, take the EZ-Pass only Exit #87 to completely avoid any delays and detours.
The road WILL be open from 3:00PM on Fridays through 8:30AM on Mondays. Weekend traffic should not be affected.
